Access to hiding place in Corrie ten Boom house through the bookcase. The Jews had 70 seconds to get from where they were in the house, taking along their belongings and get into the hiding place before the Nazis came up to the room. Next photo is the hiding place itself, 3 feet by 8 feet, where 6 people at a time could hide. The day that the house was raided, all 6 people managed to hide and stayed in this room 2 1/2 days until freed by members of the underground.
