We're going to Europe! It's an alphabet trip -- during our three weeks abroad we will visit A- Amsterdam B - Berlin C- cruise the canals via cycle D- Dresden and all of this in E - Europe. We're doing the barge portion with Bike & Barge Holland, which is a company operating out of Washington State. This vacation trip will be more physical than our previous trips, as we'll be riding bikes in the daytime and sleeping on a canal barge at night for two weeks. It's our attempt to be more physically involved in our travel experiences. Our choices during the bike portion of the trip will be: 1) Ride the barge and not the bike 2) Ride with the short group - 25 miles/day or 3) Ride with the long group - 40 miles/day. We can change our minds each day, depending on the weather, the sore muscles or the inclination to be lazy. Since the barge has wi-fi, it's our intention to blog every day or so and upload photos as we go so that you can follow along as we visit Amsterdam, then ride through northern Holland over a 2-week period and then travel to Dresden and Berlin in Germany before we return home.
